OMEGA × Swatch Bioceramic MoonSwatch – Mission to the Sun (SO33J100)

The Mission to the Sun is the loudest watch in the collection and the only one with a metallic dial. A bright sun-yellow Bioceramic case surrounds a sunbrushed golden dial that shifts and catches the light as your wrist moves — a sunburst effect no other MoonSwatch has, and one that most photographs fail to capture. In person it gives this model a distinctly higher-end look than the flat-dial references.

The colour layout

The orange does the work: chronograph seconds hand, subdial hands and tachymètre scale are all orange. The hour and minute hands, hour markers, subdials and bezel background are white. The white subdials carry small yellow rings inside them — a detail easy to miss until you look closely. Yellow, gold, orange and white together stay legible rather than fighting each other, which is not a given on a watch this bright.

Strap options

The strong colour makes this less strap-flexible than the neutral references. White, yellow and black all work; red or orange picks up the hands and tachymètre scale for a bolder look. The 20 mm lug width takes any standard strap.

Who it's for

Less versatile than Mission to the Moon or Mission to Mercury, and more fun to wear than either. A bright yellow watch is not for everyone — but if it is for you, the metallic dial makes this the best-looking of the eleven in daylight.

What it is and isn't

The MoonSwatch is a quartz chronograph in a Bioceramic case — an accessible reinterpretation of the Speedmaster, not a mechanical Moonwatch. The collection launched in March 2022 and sold out globally.
