OMEGA × Swatch Bioceramic MoonSwatch – Mission to Pluto (SO33M101)

The Mission to Pluto is the vintage-looking one. A near-white Bioceramic case with a hint of grey, an eggshell dial, and burgundy subdials and bezel — a warmer, more classical palette than anything else in the collection, and the reason it is often called the sleeper hit of the eleven.

The hand layout is unusual

Pluto splits its hands by function rather than colour-matching the dial. The chronograph hands are black and the time-telling hands are white, including the running seconds in the subdial at 6 o'clock. The subdial hands at 10 and 2 are black; the tachymètre scale is white on the burgundy bezel. It is a two-tone approach no other MoonSwatch uses.

A note on legibility

The white hour and minute hands sit close in tone to the cream dial, so this is not the most legible reference in daylight — though the black hour markers help. If maximum contrast matters more to you than the palette, Mission to the Moon or Mission to Mercury will suit you better. Pluto is chosen for how it looks, and it looks better than any of them on a brown or burgundy leather strap.

What it is and isn't

The MoonSwatch is a quartz chronograph in a Bioceramic case — an accessible reinterpretation of the Speedmaster, not a mechanical Moonwatch. The collection launched in March 2022 and sold out globally.
